ADJ’s goal is to transform your home away from cookie-cutter and mainstream. By researching and keeping up with the latest trends and pop culture and continuing our design education, our team of experienced designers is able to help our clients discover the design that’s been “on the tip of their tongue.” We pride ourselves on pushing you just slightly outside of your comfort zone to create a space that is uniquely yours and better than you could have ever dreamed.

We really get to know you.
First, we set out to learn about your project and what you hope to achieve in your new space. We are not there to tell you what you like and dislike or determine your favorite colors or “style.” Our team is there to understand your lifestyle, how you function in your home day to day, establish a general aesthetic, and answer any questions you may have about the project, including a timeframe, our process, and budget.
We decide on a look and determine what needs to be made custom.
After the initial consultation, we start creating the plans for your space, looking at what elements you have and want to keep and finding any pieces that we will be sourcing — including items we may need to have created.
At ADJ, we aren’t afraid of custom creations — in fact, we embrace custom pieces for the opportunity to let our clients’ personalities truly shine through. We love working with local artisans to help our clients uncover the perfect piece for their space. Bonus: Working locally to develop a custom design also means it will be closer to a one-of-a-kind product (if not the only one!).
One of our clients who regularly hosts large gatherings with family and friends was searching for a round dining table that would seat eight people. The catch? The client wanted the base to be in the middle so chairs could go all around the wood table, and the table needed to be sturdy enough for someone to sit on. ADJ’s designer Alicia worked with local craftsman David Stine to problem-solve the balance issue, and we ultimately delivered a gorgeous table for our client and her guests to gather around.
We find a way to make the impossible possible.
Recently, we tested our skills with our Nomini Lounge project. The client came to us desiring a place to store their unique guitar collection in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment — something very important for St. Louis’ constant weather changes.
We knew there would be a learning curve, but our team took the task in stride, starting to gather quotes for humidification systems and figuring out if it was possible for ADJ to work with our partners to create one of our own.
After countless calls to companies who manufacture this product and endless searches for information, ADJ built our first large guitar humidor. And we didn’t stop there. We also ensured the client understood when filters needed to be changed and provided all additional maintenance instructions, not to mention the fabulous design!
Experience the uniqueness of ADJ.
At ADJ, we put our clients’ needs first — whether that means working within your budget or thinking outside the box — to put the cherry on top of your design.
